To capture the attention of Canada Post customers, we leveraged one very important insight: large digital companies like Google are using direct mail to advertise.

We created a piece that showcased the medium’s ability to surprise and engage. It also proved that direct mail and digital advertising work well together. As soon as a recipient opened the piece, the “Google balloon” instantly inflated, triggering a USB camera that captured their reaction on video, which they could then retrieve, upload and share online for a chance to win a prize.
