About Me

I was always a what-if kid. It drove my mom crazy.

What if we could taste colour? What if I could switch places with a monkey? (One of my sister’s friends actually had a pet monkey – true story). What if I fell off the edge of the earth, would I fall infinitely? What if I could find a job that would let me explore all the what-ifs I ever wanted? So I set out to make that a reality.

Before heading out into the real world, I got my Bachelor of Arts (Honours) degree in English at the University of Western in London, Ontario. When I became passionate about advertising, I enrolled in the Creative Advertising program at Seneca College, School of Communication Arts.

Interning at RedRhino in London, Ontario opened the first door for me. Then from 2006-2014, FCB Toronto gave me the opportunity to jump from intern, to junior, to intermediate copywriter, working alongside some pretty amazing people on a variety of interesting clients. After spending an afternoon arguing with my art director over what colour our mascot’s socks should be (it’s a penguin – anything but black or white), I thought to myself… how cool is it that this is part of my job.

For the past five years I’ve been freelancing at various Toronto agencies and I’m always looking for new short-term or long-term creative opportunities. These are just some of the agencies and clients I’ve had the pleasure of working with up until now.
